Since 2000, AirVorne Volleyball has served the community by providing outdoor volleyball tournaments and leagues. It all started with the King/Queen tournament format. For those who have never played in a King/Queen format, each person plays with a new partner each game. It is a great way to meet new people especially for those who do not have a partner or those who are new to the Atlanta volleyball community. Many players afterwards are pretty satisfied and sore for days after the tournament. The King/Queen format itself took several run-throughs to get it right in the end. Each year, AirVorne has been able to use this King/Queen format, as well as other typical tournament formats, to provide a social, fun, and competitive atmosphere for the volleyball community.
In May of 2009, AirVorne Volleyball, LLC became a legitimate small business. Dennis Jocson, Director and Founder, is focused on serving the volleyball community. The launch of our website, www.airvorne.com, will provide the means to keep you updated on the latest news and events, register online for upcoming tournaments, view photos and videos and post comments. Special thanks to Jordan Robinson for creating and designing our website. He will be missed as he ventures out to California, but we are thrilled that he has agreed to continue to support us here in Atlanta remotely.
Another goal for www.airvorne.com is to provide central support to the volleyball community not only by publishing AirVorne events, but by promoting other volleyball events and organizations like Steve French of ATL Volleyball and local Junior volleyball clubs.
As AirVorne Volleyball grows, we will continue to look for other ways to serve the volleyball community. The Atlanta volleyball community is like no other – combine your passion for volleyball and our Southern hospitality, and you’ll not only find yourself with a full volleyball schedule but lifelong friendships too.
Special thanks to those who have helped AirVorne be a success:
