Men’s “AA/A” Sand Series – Earned Point Standings after 2 events…

Airvorne Tournament of the Summer

AirVorne Volleyball has hosted 2 tournaments for Men’s Sand Series this summer and continues the series on Saturday, August 15th at Atlanta Beach. So far here are the past winners from the series:

June 16th: Mack Kitchel / Mark Reilly
July 25th: Rich O’Keefe / Dennis Jocson

Throughout the season and each sand volleyball tournament, all points earned have been recorded for the point system. Earned Point is defined as points that you have scored in each game you have played to the finals. For example, if a team goes undefeated throughout pool play which consisted of 5 games to 21 points that team has just earned 125 points. During the quarterfinals and so forth, if that same team continues to go undefeated that team just earned another 75 points for a final total of 200 points. All games are played to 21 points win by 2 points, but the max earned points are only 21 points to keep the point system consistent.

Below is the summary of Earned Points for the Top 10 players who have played in the AirVorne Volleyball – Men’s “AA/A” Sand Series so far (August 4, 2009):

1. Kyle Peters = 387 points
2. Dennis Jocson = 313 points
3. Bobby Mitchell, Sr. = 278 points
3. Bobby Mitchell, Jr. = 278 points
5. Mack Kitchel = 249 points
5. Mark Reilly = 249 points
7. Jared Williams = 247 points
8. Hal Mobley = 214 points
8. Tracey Pressley = 214 points
10. Tim Carlson = 203 points

The next tournament of the series is on Saturday, August 15th at Atlanta Beach. Registration is now open. My goal is to have 10 Men’s “AA/A” team to register for this tournament.
